Stupid question

Ok, so I'm a self taught programmer, and I never made it beyond algebra 1 - at least not officially as I teach myself certain math concepts as nesscessary to write programs.  I have decided to try my hand at generating some of my own flame fractals, and have a pretty good idea as to how to go about doing it having read up on the mathematics.  The one thing I am stuck on is the basic form for the individual functions: f[j]= w[k] * V[k](a[j]x + b[j]y + c[j], d[j]x + e[j]y + f[j])  For the life of me I cannot figure out what the values are for the coefficients a, b, c, d, e and f.

Don't want ES to end, when I hit Keys on the Keyboard or move the mouse.

Hi,

Iam Using ES as Visualisation when I listen to music, i control Winamp with Key Bindings, but when I use one of them ES instantly stops. Is there a way to avoid this? So I can run ES AND control Winamp via Key-Bindings?

Edit: Iam using Windows XP

Has voting protocol changed ?

I wrote my own electricsheep client a couple of months ago, including the ability to vote for sheep and it was working fine but the voting seems to have stopped working recently.

I used the voting protocol given in the Wiki on Google project hosting.

Having had problems recently trying to get hold of the current source from the Google project hosting (I still can't get hold of anything more recent than b28) I'm wondering if the protocol for voting has changed and either the wiki hasn't been updated or I'm having the same problem as with the code - seeing an old version.

how do you make a triangle stop moving?

When ever I use apophysis and run a sheep, all of the triangles  start moving. How do I stop just one of the triangles from moving???

Missed downloads

I've written a program to link together the animation files to give me a single, continuous animation showing all the sheep I've submitted.

Unfortunately, with the render queue being run quickly and the flock being kept small to try and clear it, one of my sheep, id 49046, lived and died before I got it downloaded.

I've copied the animation for the sheep manually but I don't know what the edges were that joined it to other sheep and the stats page for it no longer shows the predecessors and successors.

Bug report: electricsheep needs to call mplayer with -nostop-xscreensaver option

As discussed in another thread, electricsheep needs to add the option:

-nostop-xscreensaver

to its mplayer command-line arguments in Linux (alternatively, users can add stop-xscreensaver = no to their ~/.mplayer/config file, but it would be preferable to not set this option for all mplayer instances).

A recent mplayer bug prevented this option from doing anything. However, that bug has been fixed.

This fix will allow monitors to fall to sleep (via DPMS) while running electricsheep.

electricsheep (mplayer, actually) prevents DPMS timeouts; any _other_ tricks to mitigate the problem?

Electric Shepherds --

I was hoping some of the electricsheep developers might have some enlightened ideas about this.

When I run electricsheep on my Linux machines, even though xset q shows that DPMS is turned on, my monitor never goes to sleep.

I drilled down, and I figured out this happens whenever mplayer (or ffplay) is open and playing a video.

Proxy Issues with electric sheep

Hi guys,

Excuse the double post but with the spam in the User forum I was concerned my query would be lost.
We are having some issues with using Electric Sheep on our network.

We've noticed on proxy logs that even though logon credentials are entered in the proxy screen in the application, they are not being supplied to our appliances. Below are examples from our proxy logs (with IPs/port numbers redacted.)
