If your client is giving you trouble, you have a suggestion, or you just have something to share with other sheep users, this is the right place.

New Sheep Packs

Download, unzip, and copy to your content/mpeg folder (on XP look in C:\Document and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ElectricSheep, or on Vista C:\ProgramData\ElectricSheep, and on Mac ~/Library/Application Support/Electric Sheep, and on Linux in ~/.electricsheep).

Linux Client Instructions

If you have Ubuntu 10.04 or Debian Sid, then just use the package manager or type "sudo apt-get install electricsheep".

Otherwise, the preferred way to install it is from source.  If you have Ubuntu or Debian, just right click on the link to the script, and save it in your home directory.  Fedora users see here.  Then open up a terminal (under Applications/Accessories) and type the command ".

Mac Client Release Notes

Open the DMG then double click to install (requires OSX 10.4 or better).  It should select itself as your current screensaver, and also put an icon for the application on the desktop.  If not, open the System Preferences / Desktop & Screensaver and choose "Electric Sheep" from the list on the left (not "ElectricSheep" without a space, because that's the old version).

Windows Client Release Notes

Get it here: http://electricsheep.googlecode.com/files/electricsheep-2.7b27.exe

Download and double click to install. You can run it either by waiting for your screensaver to come on, or double clicking on the desktop icon, then clicking the "Run" button.

All edges and few loops

Hi, I just downloaded this program a few days ago and so far I love it! The only problem I'm having right now is with the edges and loops. Whenever I start up the program, I would get multiple edges (from 5-15 or more) and rarely any loops. When I do get to a loop, it would be the same one I've seen multiple times before. I downloaded a few sheep packs and I still have this problem.

Sheep freezes my macbook pro

My sheep was a happy healthy member of the flock but now all of a sudden, when I touch the touchpad to start working, it freezes. and I have to force shutdown. Anyone have ant answers for this? I don't want to loose my favorite screensaver.

standalone in fullscreen with no mouse sensitivity

let me start by explaining what i want to do: create a commandline that will launch ES fullscreen and won't close when the mouse moves i am running Win7 32. i have heard reference to running in standalone mode using the -x argument but that doesn't run fullscreen. even in this mode, i can't seem to make it fullscreen by pressing F or Ctrl+F (which seems like a bug?). I also read in the most recent changelog that running fullscreen without mouse sensitivity should be possible, i just can't figure out how to do it... can anyone help? -cracksloth

Are the credits system working OK?

I noticed that some of the frames I uploaded don't have a "nick" attributed to them.

I've even monitored the log.
For example: This is on the log
about to put nice -n 10 curl --location --silent --show-error --upload-file /tmp/electricsheep.Pp6Mw7 'http://v2d7c.sheepserver.net/cgi/put?j=519&id=22278&s=1134195&g=244&v=LNX_2.7b12&u=8D54456B1726D712'

That would be sheep 22278 frame 519.
I have this frame saved here on .electricsheep folder. (I checked "save frames" on options)

sheep size

I noticed that when I looked at my flock, I had a few sheep; not very many MBs. I was wondering if they actually are on your computer or not. If a sheep takes up 2 MBs, is that space actually being taken up on my hard drive?
