Google Android

I was wondering if you guys are planning to make a version for Google Android. I know it may be kind of tricky, but it would be very interesting to see literally, android dreaming of electric sheeps. ps: sorry if someone has posted this before. I did a quick search and couldn't find anything.

yes

I support this cause. I think a ES live background on my phone would be fucking killer. That is all. Have a nice day.

used as a Live Wallpaper

I was watching my sheep and thought this would make the most awesome live wallpaper! a quick search of the forum and here's this thread!

The android app wouldn't have to render anything, it could just ask for the already rendered videos from the network. I'll see how live wallpapers are done and get back on this...

And yes, i would pay 1$ for this for sure! it could even be a great way to support the project as a whole!

well, apparently you cant

well, apparently you cant just tell the live wallpaper to play an avi... and as i'm not of the programing type, i'll watch eagerly for someone to figure this out!

+1

I would pay $1 for this. Would a fair substitute be just playing some sheep converted into mp4 or something? I found this thread searching for android electric sheep just now. Drupal > *

That would be cool

I had the same idea so I searched and found this post. I don't know if anyone from the community worked on porting the code to android 2.0+, but I don't envision it being impossible. It would be a huge battery drain, but I guess an option to let the sheep grow and multiply when you plug in for the night may be a solution.

battery isn't a problem

battery isn't a problem actually, i have a technique to avoid that. we just need a motivated developer to contact us...

Well...

I found a how-to for live wallpaper easily enough: http://blog.androgames.net/58/android-live-wallpaper-tutorial/ I think the hard part would be turning the .avi files to something useful to the phone... that's beyond me, but I do have Eclipse installed, and this is a good reason to start using it. Advice or pointers greatly appreciated. :)
