Private Flock

Hi, I've been making a lot of sheep recently and I was wondering if I could use it for my HSC artwork. The only problem is that I would want to run it in slideshow, just like the screensaver. But to do so I would need to be able to get rid of all of the other sheep and only download the sheep i've created. Is there some way of having my own private flock that breeds and so forth? How could I accoplish this?

I don't know what HSC is but you can put whatever sheep you want in your content directory, and if the format is right they'll be played. They won't breed though, that requires the server.

HSC is...

HSC is short for high school certificate. Sorry, I come from Australia and forgot that other countries dont have the HSC. Also where can I find the content directory? And how to I add my sheep to it?

Ok so i've found the folder with the files in it. But how to I convert my .flame file into the mpg4 or whatever it is?

Those wiki pages make no sense

Those wiki pages make no sense to me, I need it in simpler language if possible. Also I'm not sure if I have the right version of Aphosisos. Lastly, is there some way of showing my flames in the screensaver and not other peoples, without deleting the other peoples stuff.

Make you own private sheep

Yes you can make you own animations . Ie sheep renders. though you will likely find it takes a very long time Even on a very powerful computer . The resulting renders are in .avi format which will easily play in a windows media player or any other player that supports this format. In regards to making edited sheep movies you need something like Shoop or a software editor like premier or dare I say Final cut for the mac.. You best bet is to start with something rather basic . like Shoop. and the screen saver. I know it seems rather daunting all these programs and how do I generate sheep etc.. But if you have already downloaded apo and have flam 3 you are well on your way to creating nice looking sheep.. These programs that Spot has developed will allow you to do some great work but they are by no means easy to use and get great results without "ALOT" of study and tweaking of the parameters. Many of the most popular sheep are developed by those that have been doing them for years. So be patient look around the forums and read everything about whats actually going on with Flame fractals. BTW many of us that have been doing fractals have been attracted to the beauty of them just like yourself and then gone on to study the maths behind them. Spot has developed a way that those interested in these incredibly wonderful images can share them with the entire world.At the same time give over spare clock cycles to render peoples sheep and those of others that share the interest .So while this may not guide you much I hope it encourages you to Read the FAQs .
