Compared to 2.6, version 2.7 has a more expressive visual language, higher resolution (double the pixels per sheep), no periodic stuttering, a better codec (x264), and a dynamic filter to smooth out the dust. And we have a new server with much more capacity (thanks DVLABS).  Because the new server has plenty of bandwidth we have gotten started without BitTorrent but we plan on adding that later.  It now uses just regular http on port 80, so it should go through most proxies.

On Windows and Mac, there are keyboard commands to replay the current sheep (left arrow) and skip to the next sheep (right arrow) in addition to the voting keys (up and down arrow).

It also has new frame interpolation modes so you can turn the playback speed down while maintaining smoothness.  Try cubic mode at a decode rate of 10 to 15 frames per second, I highly recommend it!
