how come Electric Sheep only running from 9 to 18 fps

I have the direct x 9 on both my laptop and Home PC but it still runs really slow and jumpy. it decodes at 15 FPS. Its weird sometimes it runs at about 64 FPS which is awesome but other times it runs really slow is there anything i can do or am I doomed to slow sheep

what is your CPU? what is your graphics chip? what version of the client do you have?

i get a solid 60fps on my lenovo x60 laptop which has a core duo and intel integrated graphics (ie not much horsepower).

i'm using an amd athlon 64 x2

i'm using an amd athlon 64 x2 dual core processor 6400 + 3.21 GHZ 3.5 GB of ram and i think i'm using 264mb nvidia card

have you installed the latest

have you installed the latest graphics drivers from nvidia?

also, it's supposed to decode the video at 15fps, but it displays frames at 60fps. you can get the exact numbers by pressing F4.
