2.7b25 - Can't Get Dual Mon To Work

Hi guys! Long time fan; first time caller, here. You could probably file this under "non-issue" since I've reached a workable solution, but I thought I'd let y'all know. I recently did a fresh wipe of my hard drive - Spring cleaning, ya know. I installed the latest ESheep client, 2.7b25, but I couldn't get it to show up on my 2nd monitor. My primary worked fine; the secondary one would show the briefest of flicker, but otherwise it was just desktop as usual. I tried playing around with various settings: shared-individual-single, switch monitor checked/unchecked, direct draw. The only changes I saw were a from a couple of settings that left ESheep not showing up on either monitor, but I don't recall what settings led to that.

In the course of preparing this post, I thought of downloading the last version that worked for me - 2.7b21. That version seems to be working as fine as it ever did before, so I'm happy. Just wanted to give y'all a little heads up/feedback. Plus, I was curious as to why I could run one but not the other: what significant changes there were between the versions. If anybody already has this all figured out, it'd be interesting to know; otherwise don't waste any time.

I love what y'all do!! Thanks for the amazing screensaver with matching philosophical impact.

(I'd already prepped this DxDiag report before reverting to older version, so might as well post it too....)

Dual Monitors

Hi There, I'm new to Esheep, but I just purchased a new customer Origin PC and wanted something to show off the horsepower with dual monitors. Is there an expected GA release with dual monitor support? I am fearful of donwloading a beta on my new PC with (what looks like) a number of bugs. I have Win 7 x64 dual Nvidia geforce 285 with SLI enabled. i7 processors 12 Gigs of RAM (I know, who needs 12 gigs right?). anyhow, any release notes you have or change logs would be nice to get posted here. Thanks, M---------

Well, Im not running anything

Well, Im not running anything special besides the latest client (b25 at the moment), and my hardware is also nothing special. Its a HP laptop with a ATI m3450 (or something like that), and it does dual monitors just fine. However, I did find you had to select a feature in the settings menu, specifically under Advanced, you need to select "Individual" under "MultiDisplay Mode". That will cause each monitor to display a different sheep instead of the same sheep on both monitors. I also have "Piecewise Cubic" selected under "Display Mode", but that was the default choice. One final thing, if, when you hit F1, F2, F3, or F4 the information appears on the wrong monitor (your secondary screen instead of your primary for example), select the "Reverse Monitor Order" option. All that does is change which monitor the information boxes appears on. Hope this helps!
