flock 202

how long will there be new torrents of 202? i am at 4099.

202 sheep

will sheep from flock 202 run on v2.7 beta

no, and there are no plans

no, and there are no plans to.  the new sheep are so much higher quality they would not mix well, and it is not easy to program it to handle both, so we are going to focus our efforts on things like dual monitor support, compatibility with more graphics cards, and audio visualization.

i am not opposed to the capability so if someone programs it and submits a good patch, i'll certainly take and release it.

can we upload them to archive.org?

IIRC, Spot once said that we can share sheep with others via archive.org. I don't know how to do it, although I know they host some CC-licensed movie/music.

That's right, as explained in

That's right, as explained in the reuse policy, long as they are clearly labeled as from Scott Draves and the Electric Sheep and you link to electricsheep.org, then you can host them wherever you want.  The instructions are on their site.

I hope to get around to uploading some sheep to archive.org eventually, but my priority now is improving v2.7.

flock 202 will be shut down

flock 202 will be shut down at the end of the month.

where is the recomended download for flock 202

I would like to help recover flock 202 befor it is too late,
Could anyone know the torrent site for flock 202

I have a bunch of the older sheep from 202

I have a bunch of the older sheep from 202 at http://electricsheep.claytondevelopment.com/

I'm also trying to save as much of 243 up there as I can.

I have many of the .mpeg

I have many of the .mpeg files (I think for flock 243 as well). It seems as if contact through member forms isn't working - or I just can't figure out how to do that :) so please contact me through this form - http://blog.openhatch.net/contact/ And remind me to set up a folder at my web site for the gargantuan FTP upload, and to send you a link. I pine for access to any of the flock 202 genome files. I have a windows batch script that automatically fetches them for cross-breeding, but (if it's still true as I've read) with the new (gorgeous!) sheep being hosted there apparently wasn't space for the genomes, and the links it used to fetch them are consequently dead. I'd be happy to host my own copy of many of the older generation genomes for public access, if anyone has copies of them they'd like to provide to me. As it is, I suppose I'll throw up copies of the flock 202 and 243 genomes I do have somewhere as well..

Hi Nathan.  I realize that

Hi Nathan.  I would love to send you any of the files that I have that you need in order to complete your collection..  Also, do you know of anyone else who has the entire 202 flock from the beginning to when it will be finished/completed at the end of this month?  My 202 flock is currently almost 54gb, and since I started so late, I'm guessing the complete flock is 100gb or more.
