windows 7 error message

I just downloaded the latest posted version of electric sheep for my new windows 7 laptop. I have used electric sheep for years on my old macbook but cannot get it to work on windows 7. the problem is that it keeps giving me an "es.scr has stopped working" message. It then tells me that windows can't figure out the problem and has to close it. this happens every time I load the screen saver from either preview in control panel or just by letting the SS turn on by itself. What could be causing this problem?

I have a very similar
what version of the sheep
I have the exact same error
I have the exact same error with b24.On one pc it works great as always, on my other rig ES crashes upon launch. I see a black screen, then a windows error msg. Here's the log file:

Exactly the Same Problem - New Version Fails on Windows 7
I was previously running 2.7b21 just fine.
Uninstalled it and installed 2.7b24.
Complete failure of es.scr to start, as described above.
Turned on logging, but no log generated - probably is failing before log is set up.
Nvidia GS7900 with latest Nvidia driver. Windows 7 Ultimate X86 on Intel Q9550, current on Windows Update patches as of March 7.
Removed 2.7b24, reinstalled 2.7b21, running fine again.
what is your graphics chip
try turning on logging and see if you can see a problem there (post it here).
I have an ATI Radeon HD4200
go into the advanced
Ok I turned on the log but I
