Won't open ES - Windows 7

I have Windows 7 64-bit running on my machine. I've found that the latest version of electric sheep will not run at all. From my screen saver menu I try to click settings and it will not open the settings window, nor will it open the sheep preview when I click the preview button. In my screensaver menu I show two options "Electric Sheep" and "ElectricSheep_2_7b21" which am I supposed to be running? Someone please help? I love this screen saver so much and would really like to know how to get it to work. My boyfriend has 7 as well and his electric sheep is running just fine.

I have Windows 7 and i can watch 1 sheep but new sheep arent downloading. I'm logged in. Am I doing something wrong?

Just be patient and let it

Just be patient and let it run and it should download more automatically. Make sure your screensaver and power settings will let it run for a long time, then let it go overnight and it should get a bunch.

"ElectricSheep_2_7b21" is an

"ElectricSheep_2_7b21" is an old version, you should pick "Electric Sheep".

What happens if you double click the icon on your desktop?

If you don't have that icon, then you should uninstall and reinstall and take the icon. You should probably delete the old version while you are at it.

So even selecting

So even selecting "Electric Sheep" it WON'T start downloading sheep. How long does it usually take for it to get some sheep downloaded? Also, when I assign "Electric Sheep" as my screen save and click "Settings" so I can log in, the settings never come up. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. Any other advice???

Opens the same thing. It just starts downloading forever and never gets anywhere. I want it to work as a screen saver. It doesn't do much use to me if I can just run it.

double clicking the desktop

double clicking the desktop icon should bring up the preferences window. do you see that?

It's also strange that I can not open the settings menu for electric sheep from the screen saver window. Can anyone tell me anything about that?

You can access your ES

You can access your ES setting from Start> Programs, however this didn't help me much I have win 7 64 bit as well , the settings are set and i am logged into ES but sheeps don't seem to be downloading

desktop sheep

For me, the sheep downloads quickly but it wont open in Windows 7. It always says that you have to contact the software publisher to see if I need 64 bit or 34 bit. I really want this sheep >.<

Yes, I know I can access it that way. It seems you're having the same problem I am. If you find a fix will you please let me know? I am going to make another post and see if anyone else sees it.

Log in?

Hey all, I have the latest version of E-Sheep on my desktop machine, running Win7 64-bit, and it seems to work...the settings menu comes up, but it will not let me log in? When I enter my username and password, and then hit Login, the settings dialog just freezes? Any ideas?
