1. I notice that apart from those times that a sheep is displayed for the user-designated number of loops, the server will generate a sheep for a brief moment just before transitioning to another sheep. Is this ES's way of running thru a selection process to determine which sheep to mate? ANd what is the difference between that kind of transition and one that looks like a shrinking circle or torus?
2. Will the server accept input from any of the (mega)packs I have in my mpeg folder? IOW, if I should vote up a critter that unbeknownst to me comes from a previous flock, will the server acknowledge it? It seems that the more sheep are born, the more challenging it is to determine whether or not I actually voted twice for the same critter, or voted for one that doesn't belong to the current flock.
I hope my phraseology makes sense to you, as the mechanics of this wonderful program have me captivated.

i don't think i understand
i don't think i understand your question, but the server generates edges between sheep so you get a continuous experience. some of those edges are through a singularity, that's what you call the torus. it's not about mating.
the client accepts the avi sheep from generation 243, but not the old mpg sheep. votes for old dead sheep are ignored by the server.
