When I try to install the latest version of ES, the installer fails every time, but the screensaver is still selectable in system preferences. How can I fix this?
what version of Mac OS do you have? what model of mac? what version of ES are you trying to install? did you have it installed before? how does it fail, ie specifically what happens?
OS 10.6.2 MacBook w/ nVidia graphics 2.7b17b The last version also failed to install. The installer begins the installation process, then displays a screen saying the installation failed.
What does it mean "can't launch it". What does it do? The application in /Applications folder is not an screen saver. The screen saver is selectable using System Preferences.

Do you have administrator
Do you have administrator rights?
Are you asked for giving your administrator password by the installer?
After the failed installation do you have application Electric Sheep.app installed in your /Applications folder?
Did the last installer you tried installs version 2.7b19a?
