Please Scott, PLEASE, for the love of all that is good and right, please tell me how I can make your old client stop displaying that annoying message to "upgrade"
I understand you want people to upgrade, and that's great. The new software and sheep ARE better. But that doesn't change the fact that a lot of us spent days collecting "old" sheep that still run on the "old" client. I have no intentions of getting rid of my old client or my old sheep. And I don't think it's right that you kill the experience of enjoying the old sheep because that "upgrade" message keeps appearing off and on.
Isn't there something you can do? If you're not going to make your NEW client play the old sheep, then you shouldn't plague us with the upgrade message on the old client if we choose to continue using it.
If it's money you want, then tell me what to pay you to make you get rid of that damn message from my beautiful screen!

There is nothing I can do --
There is nothing I can do -- there is no server for the old client to connect to. I put the message out there before shutting down the old server months and months ago. You can probably get rid of it just be deleting the list.xml file.
Thanks for the reply spot. I
Thanks for the reply spot. I don't have a list.xml file. Is there another file I should look for? If not, would it be possible for me to recompile my own executable from the 2.6.6 source code? If so, where do I get the source code? (I was looking on the source code site last night and couldn't find any in the repositories).
is the message in the video,
is the message in the video, or is it a text overlay? the message is also in some of the sheep, you can delete them. the message isn't in the source code, but if you want to mess with it see http://electricsheep.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/electricsheep/trunk/clie...
I'm not positive if it's in
I'm not positive if it's in the video or in the overlay, but it looks like it's in the text overlay to me.
then it has to be in the xml
