Sheep distorted on widescreen display - any workarounds?

Hi all!

came back to the flock after some absence - now I have a little problem. Or actually, my problem is 22" with a resolution of 1920x1080 ;-)

Using the latest Windows beta, I have two choices:

- running in full screen render (looks terrible, completely distorted)

- or disabling full screen render - then the sheep run in an ugly small window with dos-like window decoration, the rest of the screen shows a frozen desktop...

Is there any workaround for that? Params I could pass to the screensaver? I guess I am not the only one with a widescreen display - and it would be nice to see the sheep either proportionally scaled, leaving black space to the left and right, or showing them in the original 800x600, centered or moving around, black background.
Any chance to achieve this?

cheers

i much prefer to stretch

i much prefer to stretch over bars. maybe a future version will have an option.

thanks! stretch is ok,

thanks!

stretch is ok, depends on the display. On 16:9 screens its really too much - looks choppy and it is very obvious that the sheep have been run over by a heavy tank and are quite flattened. Poor buggers... ;-)
Anyways - would be cool to see such an option, until then running in a tiny window here...

I am running ES on my pc

I am running ES on my pc connected to my TV. TV is a 47" widescreen 1080p. However, I do not run the TV in native res because it's too hard to see the text in Windows at 1920 x 1080. I've been using it in 1024 x 768 and letting it stretch to fit the TV screen and the sheep look fantastic. I know it may not be what you want to run in the long term, but it may be worth a try at least to see how it works out for you :).
