Bad frames in recent sheep (v 2.7 beta)
Hi All,
Some of the sheep generated these last days (for example 956, 998, 1014, 1015, 1016) have lots of bad frames, either too dark, or completely black ones.

thanks for the report.
thanks for the report. that's right, there are a bunch of bad frames. anyone who is running FLAM3 from cvs, including those who used the script that compiles from source (makesheep.sh), please update to the latest version. that means starting over because we have ditched cvs for svn. get it here.
yes, a bug was introduced in the repository
The interesting thing is that the bug was only present in CVS, not in the released code, so that means someone was rendering frames using the very latest code out of the repository, which is somewhat surprising. The newly released version of flam3 should take care of this (and this wasn't a windows client issue, only a linux client issue.)

Ooops, sorry
I think that was me. I'll install the new version this evening. I was just following the linux install instructions, and didn't mean to create so many ... black sheep.
