Okay, I've been playing with this for a while. I really love how they look and I want it to work, but it just kinda doesn't. I downloaded ES 2.6.6 for Windows (I run XP Pro), installed it, ran it overnight once while simultaneously getting a pack of sheep from the internet...I think it managed to download one sheep overnight, and it put that in /mpeg, of course. But my problem is whenever there is anything in /mpeg, the behavior of the Windows screensaver preview is to just flash black on the screen and give up immediately, and AC's SheepWatcher simply shows a black screen. If I remove everything from /mpeg, it goes back to downloading sheep and showing that little loading screen. I waited again another night with a cleared-out /mpeg and it managed to download another sheep, and it still doesn't work.

I looked at the FAQ topic "nothing plays when downloaded manually," but I've triple-checked that all of my files are indeed .mpg, all users have full access (I'm the admin, does that really matter? anyway). And I do have the program downloaded, of course. All the paths match up, everything should work. But it doesn't.

The only problem I've found is that apparently my port 6881 is not open -- but does whether or not Bittorrent can work affect whether or not the screensaver functions at all?
