Is the new Windows Upgrade release STABLE?

I just installed the upgrade on Windwos XP (8 Jul, 2009) and I love it, except it ran for a few minutes then I left the room, came back and my machine was frozen on 3 black screens (I have triple monitors). I had to reboot my system and "send errors" to Microsoft....ugh, it takes close to 5 minutes to reboot my machine with all the startup items running on top of Windows security.

 

Tell me - is this version stable in Windows XP? Any idea why it crashed my machine? Is there a patch or fix? What's with the new "configuration" screen with login to Drupal, etc? Do I have my settings wrong?

 

I need my machine for work, if the screensaver causes it to crash I'm screwed. However, I've loved Electric Sheep for YEARS. I dream of electric sheep.....

 

Any answer or advice? Thanks!

It's reliable for most people.  First make sure you have the latest graphics drivers.  If it still crashes, please email us your log file (click help on the left menu for the address), and the output from GPU-Z and dxdiag (ie follow the instructions).
