When I use my laptop with Airport turned off, or take it somewhere without Internet access, a message appears at the top of the screensaver saying "error connecting to server."
Thankfully, the message disappears after three minutes, but I still find it annoying and unnecessary. I KNOW when I'm not connected to the Internet, I don't need my screensaver telling me so.
If the developer(s) really feels this alert is necessary, such as for diagnosing problems downloading sheep, then I suggest a preference to disable alerts.
What exactly are the Linear and Cubic modes supposed to do? I see no difference whatsoever during playback, except that in these modes I can alter the framerate.
New flock is cool! I've been using v2.7 about a week, and have 298 sheep filling 736.5MB of space.

reporting errors is normal
reporting errors is normal and definitely should be the default behavior. but i agree with you there should be an override and it's on the agenda.
linear and cubic modes turn on inter-frame interpolation. try turning the frame rate down to 10 or 15 to see the difference.
